Yard Operative - Bedford

Requirements:

Full training will be provided but the following will be required:

• Previous experience working as a yard operative would be an advantage
• FLT License desirable
• Driver’s licence is essential
• IT literate
• Customer service skills
• Ability to work with initiative as well as part of a team
• Good communication and organisational skills

Duties:

• Booking in vehicles e.g. mileage etc
• Taking photos of vehicles and uploading on IT systems.
• Handing over vehicles and speaking to customers.
• Undertake appraisal of vehicles in line with customer requirements and enter information onto the Company system accurately and in a timely manner.
• Ensure that non-runners are notified to the appropriate manager.
• Administer vehicle details at the gatehouse according to company or customer procedures.
• Working out in the yard keeping the area clean and tidy.
• Shunting vehicles in the yard to the correct bays.
• Jump starting vehicles if required.
• Undertake any cross-functional tasks in the yard department to ensure that operational requirements are met.

Hours:

Monday – Friday 8.00pm – 5.00pm, OTE available when required.
