We’re offering a fantastic opportunity for a driven and conscientious individual to join our team as an HGV Aftersales Manager at our busy Oxford Dealership. The dealership offers 2 manufacturer partnerships with DAF trucks and the Fiat professional manufacturer for LCV service and repair. The location also has an accredited ATF lane for on site HGV vehicle testing.
Reporting directly to the Group Aftersales Director, the successful candidate will take the lead in driving the depot’s performance forward — providing vision, leadership and professionalism of the highest standard. You will be responsible for maximising profitability and return on investment through the effective use of resources, ensuring outstanding customer satisfaction, and maintaining strong service and parts performance. The responsibility and drive to continually meeting and exceed our customer expectations while building upon service and parts sales volumes and profitability. You’ll also take charge of site management — including health and safety compliance, ISO accreditation, facility management, and acting as the main point of contact for both customers and suppliers visiting the dealership.
Key Responsibilities of the position include
• Lead the Aftersales operation, delivering strong financial performance and service excellence.
• Manage and develop a motivated team, fostering a culture of growth and high performance.
• Oversee and ownership of budgets, KPIs, and efficiency metrics such as technician productivity, parts business development and full site cost management.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant vehicle and consumer legislation.
• Maintain exceptional relationships with customers and suppliers.
About You as a HGV Aftersales Manager:
• Proven experience in the commercial vehicle or HGV industry at management level.
• Strong understanding of modern vehicle industry processes and best practices.
• Skilled in budget management, KPI analysis, and people development.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
• IT literate, confident with Microsoft Office and dealership management systems (e.g. Keyloop).
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel when required.
