Responsibilities:

Wiring of internal and external lights to trailers

Working on refrigerated products with some experience with 24 volt electrical systems, repairing and fitting wiring looms.

Splicing wires together , where required,

Testing lights to ensure safe working order

Plan work to minimise waste of raw materials as well as working in a clean and tidy manner.

Work in accordance with Company operating procedures and guidelines.

Read and assess production information for required specification details, working in an organised manner to ensure the task is completed efficiently, to the correct standard and within the necessary time frame.

Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form.

Conduct basic quality control checks.

Ensure the safe operation of machinery within the area of responsibility.

Use a variety of hand held tools and crane operation to build trailers in accordance with SOPs.

Experience:

Use tools and equipment used in trailer bodybuilding.

Electrical experience i.e. wring of lights, sockets and other electrical components.

General knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of trailer bodybuilding.

Skill in the use and care of hand and power tools and equipment necessary to prepare, fit and fasten body components.

Ability to perform manual labour for extended periods of time as required by work assignments.

Good interpersonal skills

Good manual dexterity requires the ability to handle a variety of items such as hand tools.

Experience in the manufacture of trailers and trailer bodies is desirable

Working Hours:

40 hours per week - 10 Hour shifts - Monday to Thursday 6.30 am to 17:00 pm (with overtime available)
