HGV Technician Mobile - Basingstoke

Sapphire Vehicles Services Limited is a commercial vehicle fleet management company with a service provision packaged to offer a clearly defined portfolio of support services to both new and existing companies.

Currently operating 21 depots throughout the UK, Sapphire supports customers from a variety of industry’s with the day to day running of their commercial vehicles.

Key Responsibility

• Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicles/trailers to VOSA standard
• Working from a van based on the Sainsburys site
• Covering defects and running repair
• Assisting the VMU as and when required.
• Diagnose and rectify all types of faults
• Ensure all vehicles worked upon are handled carefully and that all precautions are taken whilst on the premises
• Liaise with the parts department to attain correct parts
• Ensure health & safety regulations and safe working practices are adhered to
• Ensure appropriate clocking's are made, all job cards and service sheets are completed in a timely manner
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness

Candidates should be able to demonstrate

• Experience within a commercial dealer environment working on HGV
• City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3
• Ability to work within guidelines given and to deadlines
• Ability to actively seek solutions to problems
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Good verbal communication skills
• Flexibility to undertake a wide range of tasks

Mobile night technician to help cover the out of hours call outs, on site defects and supporting the workshop if required – Sunday – Wednesday 18.00 – 6.00 (Nights)

£24.00ph
