HGV Technician - Coventry

Duties:

• Responsible for the maintenance and repair of fleet vehicles
• Carrying out road tests
• Performing emergency road repairs
• Routine vehicle maintenance to VOSA standards
• Diagnoses of vehicles utilising computer based diagnostic equipment
• Carry out scheduled fleet maintenance tasks
• Preparation of vehicles and trailers for MOT inspections
• Carry out re-chassis work and light fabrication

Candidates should be able to demonstrate:

• Good verbal communication skills
• Excellent customer care skills
• High level of technical knowledge and ability in mechanical repair
• Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements
• Previous experience would be required
• Industry qualifications achieved to a minimum of Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or mechanical engineering (all modules completed) – Heavy Vehicle Qualification
• Previous working experience as a HGV technician with a strong technical background, as well as a keen interest in van

Shifts Available:

Late Shift 13:00 – 22:00

Salary:£16 to £22 per Hour
