Compliance Controller - Erith

Sapphire Vehicle Services Limited is a commercial vehicle fleet management company with a service provision packaged to offer a clearly defined portfolio of support services to both new and existing companies.

Currently operating 19 depots throughout the UK, Sapphire supports customers from a variety of industries with the day-to-day running of their commercial vehicles.

We are currently seeking a Compliance Controller to join our VMU in Erith.

Key Accountabilities:

• Manage daily planning, scheduling, and ordering to ensure efficient workshop operations.
• Review and allocate Repair Orders, monitor repair progress, and coordinate additional work as needed.
• Minimise vehicle downtime by actively managing Vehicle Off Road (VOR) cases.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements within the workshop.
• Review and approve completed work and compliance documentation, handing over clear reports to customers.

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience in an operational service industry with strong customer focus.
• Knowledge of HGV compliance and workshop operations.
• Skilled in planning, scheduling, and ordering within a workshop environment.
• Strong leadership and team development experience.
• Confident in customer and supplier management.
• Technical knowledge from qualifications or hands-on experience.
• Familiar with Dealer Management Systems and workshop software (DMS, XENTRY, Truckfile).
• Good computer skills and understanding of how quality and compliance drive business success.

Salary: £32,000 – £36,000 per year
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 16:30 (45 hours per week)
